Sweet Comfort – #NatCroMo

This has been a very happy and productive week. The last time I posted, I was working on a baby blanket for a family friend, and I finally finished it. I also wrapped up a project I’ve been working on for a long time. And I’ve been finding bits of inspiration here and there to fuel me for the rest of National Crochet Month.

Happy National Crochet Month!

It’s officially March (finally), which means it’s the start of National Crochet Month! Actually I just found out that was a thing today, but nevertheless I am really excited and motivated to finish some old and start some new projects this month.

Crochet time-lapse

Hey all!

It has been a pretty snowy and icy week, and now that my hand is feeling better I got to warm up by crocheting some simple scarves. But instead of writing about what I’m making (they’re really plain and not anything super exciting), I wanted to share a brief time-lapse of my work.

It’s super short and it would probably have been a lot more fun if I had recorded for much longer, but I really just  wanted to see what it would look like. I’ll try to make longer ones in the future. Enjoy!

I did happen to make up a few motifs and little things last week to get rid of some yarn scraps, and I think they might just be perfect to help spread some love this Valentine weekend. A spectrum of dishcloths

Two or three Christmases ago, I decided to make my mom a few dishcloths as small gifts. I had never made dishcloths before, so I thought that might make them extra special…and she absolutely loved them. Since then, she constantly asks me to make her more.

Last weekend we hit up Michaels’ — where they were having a fairly decent yarn sale — and bought a few balls of Lily Sugar ‘n Cream ($1.25 each!!!). So I spent this week whipping up a bunch of different dishcloths and a few other little kitchen things.

Here’s what I made. Continue reading
